Greek Cat
The cat came in the other night limping. Took her to the emergency vets Sunday morning where they said its fractured (from feeling - not X-rays) and that amputation is required to her front left leg. They wanted me to leave her there and they'd begin the procedure Monday morning. I wasn't satisfied with the way they were talking so I took her away and text a vet I know who said bring her in Monday.

Took her in yesterday, they treated her as an emergency so I left them with her for X-rays etc and awaited the call.

They phoned me a couple of hours later saying there is a fracture and unfortunately there is a pellet present which has fractured the leg. They also found another one in her abdomen which has no cut etc to show a point of entrance so it's a historical incident, therefore someone has shot her on two separate occasions.

Took her yesterday afternoon to the royal vet college in South mimms. They said they believe they can repair the fracture with an integral pin etc priced between £3-5k! Anyway I gave them the go ahead and they've just phoned me to say that she's woken up from the op and everything appears to have gome well thankfully!

Bunch of cunts out there. Luckily the one in the abdomen hasn't caused any damage and is on to be left in situ.

Hope you're insured!!!

Vet's are proper slags as are cowardly moron's who harm defencless animals.

I went to collect my usual monthly vetoryl prescription on Sunday for my disease riddled mutt (has cushings) to be told the price £49.50.

"Err they are normally £41.80, so are you sure that is right?" I asked.

Yep, they've increased in price.

20% in one hit the dick turpin daylight robbery cunts.

Re: Greek Cat
No, not insured but they'd only pay half anyway so the difference is what the insurance would've cost anyway. The money isn't an issue, I'd pay anything to make sure she keeps her leg. She's with the best possible vets in the south east.

Re: neighbouring properties, she lives with my parents in Cliffe and there is only a couple of houses within walking distance. There is one particular neighbour who has been known to shoot moles and moans about the horses in the field too, everyone else is friendly and it's unlikely to just be kids due to it being two separate incidents. Unfortunately it's now become not safe for her to go out in that area which is a massive shame as she loves it there, she will probably have to come live with me again and become an indoor cat as I live near a busy road. I have another cat, another stray (from England) who doesn't go out so hopefully the Greek one can adapt similarly.

I was shot at by one of these fuckers when I was climbing a tree as a kid. Pellet appeared like magic in the bark between my fingers.

Never did see who it was.

Gave up climbing trees, though.
